Autism Heroes Video Pre Screening – A Success

Today, two members from the Autism Heroes team went to visit Sutherland Dianella primary school for a sneak peek at the Autism Heroes Video before it’s official launch in 2019.

Sutherland Dianella school were one of the schools who collaborated with the Autism Association of WA in the making of the short film and there were around 20 students who took part in the filming.

The year groups of years four, five and six  and their teachers gathered in the school’s library to watch the film in which many of their friends made a cameo appearance. The students were all very interested in the film and seemed to enjoy watching it and learning more about Autism.

When the film was over, the students who took part were given a special gift pack in appreciation of their participation. Sharing the film with the students and teachers for the first time was a thrill and it was particularly special when one of the young students with Autism who took part in the video said:

“I was really happy when I saw myself on the video. It made my day, Thank you for this. It means so much for me”

Stay tuned for the official launch to WA schools in 2019.
